Easy Ways to Keep Your Jewelry Clean!
Here is another tip on how to save money on jewelry cleaner products. You could actually clean your gold costume jewelry or brass with lemon juice to remove the built-up-tarnish. Mix 1/4 cup of lemon juice to 2 tbs. of water. Combine together into a bowl with the jewelry, soak for a few minutes. Gently rinse and rub with a cotton cloth or paper towel. Whenever I run out of jewelry cleaner, I usually try this procedure and it really works. Do not use this technique with jewelry containing turquoise, coral, lapis lazuli, sodalite, selenite, rhodonite, rubellite, sugilite, moonstone, malachite, obsidian, rutilated quartz, moldavite, moss agate, hematite, pyrite, fluorite, gugilite, pearl, abalone, peacock ore, amber, blue lace agate, azurite because the hardness on these stones is below seven. Most gem stones have a hardness which identifies the strength of the stone.
